Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.
a beautiful start.

Hello lovelies, happy 2008! So another year has passed, and i'm glad that it ended pretty well, although some of my goals still remain unachieved. I've been through the good times and the bad, take The Curse of the Handphones for example. These events make useful lessons for me, with hopes that i would not do the same mistakes again. I too, hope that this year would be, of course, a much better one not for me only, but for all of us.

And so, before i begin to write anything on any year 2008 events in my subsequent entries, here's some of the overdued updates as promised.

( look for your favourite floorballer here! )

DECEMBER 21ST - 22ND / Chalet with the floorball teammates. Came as early as 10am to have breakfast at Macs before going to the Escape theme park. Bumped into Aisyah and Yana who were manning one of the booths at the carnival. We played til 2.30pm, we were all very tired and dizzy and wet so we decided to check in first and meet the rest of the team.

The seniors had planned to go to the beach for soccer but ended up swimming instead at the pool. Played some games in the pool and Fariza lost, so she had to do a forfeit. She was asked to get the lifeguard's number, and she did by using Wileen's name. Basket eh. Haha.

We went back to our room to get changed and prepare the stuff for the night. Evening came and more floorballers were seen. It started to drizzle so we made a so-called shelter out of table mats and rafia strings. All of us ate good food, some drank vodka mixed with redbull/orangejuice/what-have-you and a few played Twister while waiting for the gift-exchanging session to start. The team also celebrated Sirin's, Leng's and Joan's birthday. After the whole thing ended, we cleared the place up and went into our room to shower.

After that, they had movie marathon. Some even got themselves drunk while i went out to meet the boyfriend. We got Dily to join us soon after and we stayed out til 2 in the morning. We made our way back to our room and tried to sleep. Okay no, I was actually outside, chatting on the phone til 5am. I then joined the other few who hadn't fall asleep yet to watch their last Korean movie which ended at around 7am. And yes, i didn't get any sleep at all. One by one woke up that hour and went for their morning shower. We then packed our bags to leave the place. The moment i reached home, i slept like a log til 6pm.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 24TH / Starbucks date with Sheil at town. It was a wrong decision made, since it was Christmas Eve that fateful day. It was still okay in the day, i can still stop and say hello to the ex-classmates outside Wheelock Place, drop by the boyfriend's workplace to sneak peek and walk along the same road thrice for all i care. But when the night falls, everywhere was jam-packed with people and certain entrances were closed which further unabled us to escape the human jam. Sigh. And i think it's a miracle that i can still reach home before midnight (:

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27TH / Had a surprise belated birthday celebration for Ath, like finally. Although it was only for a short while, i'm glad that all of us were present.

And since the rest had other plans after that, i went out with the birthday girl for some Coffeebean and window shopping. Dropped by the boyfriend's workplace again, well this time around it was a planned meetup (in case i sound like a stalker). Hehe. I had my first time dinner at LJS Cineleisure before going home.

DECEMBER 28TH - 31ST / In case you don't already know, i went for a 4-day trip to Malaysia. The first day was spent window shopping at KLCC. We had to take the train to and fro (since Dad didn't want to drive) and it's super irritating to have to queue up with other Malaysians to buy a pathetic farecard. Sometimes i am really grateful that i live in Singapore, cos everything is so convenient. All we have to do is flash our EZLINK card and you can ride the MRT or bus, or even buy yourself a meal from Macs.

Anyway, the 2nd day was playtime at Genting Highlands. Nothing new i guess, only that i bumped into famous Malaysian artiste, Awie. Haha. The night was then spent shopping along the streets located just infront of my hotel, Petaling Street. I saw, one, how the place was being ambushed and within seconds, the illegal stallholders fled with their goods and two, Fauzie Laily (of all people).

The best highlight had to be the Eye on Malaysia. It's the country's biggest ferris wheel, and each ride costs only RM15 per adult. And of course, the family wouldn't want to give the famous attraction a miss since we're there already.

Sunway Lagoon was our last, and now i'm turning darker.

Now that the holiday's over, let's smile and welcome tomorrow for it's going to be the attachment 'season' again! Please wish us nurses well (:

ayuuu!
