Happiness is like a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.
Laugh, and you die

I am so geram with myself today. Many unfortunate things happen within a day, and it all started with the wake-up-after-seven incident. For two days in a row, my alarm didn't ring, for some unidentified reason. Excuses, you would say. But that one event led to a few unfortunate events later in the day.

Knowing that I have only less than half an hour to work, I sped. "If I land in the A&E, I know why.", I told myself. And throughout the fifteen-minute (compared to the usual twenty-five) ride, I was praying that it didn't rain. I wonder why.

And no, I didn't end up in Block 1. In fact, I was in time for handover report. Later, patient pressed the callbell. I went over to attend, and I took almost half an hour just to fix a spine corset(!) Instead of being appreciative, she passed a sarcastic remark. How insulting.

I was made the overall junior today. And when they assign overall it meant OVERALL. I had to do transfers, diaper changing, urinal bedpan rounds, serving diet, treatment room topup ALONE. I knew it was going to happen, looking at the ones being the in-charge ):

By the end of the day, I was so worn out. I walked slowly towards Bowyer's block, just the thought of riding home kills. And as I walked through the carpark, I suddenly remembered I had left my cashcard in my IU. Chances of it still being there were slim, and I was right.

CHEAPSKATE ROBBER. Though I only had cents left in it after having $1.75 deducted for this morning's ERP, it was still stolen. Imagine the frustration.

Today was like a living nightmare. And it is not funny.
